Routing Rules & Orchestration

Primary gateway for established card processing — leverage existing Authorize.Net negotiated rates

ACH routing — eCheck.Net through Authorize.Net or dedicated ACH processor for lower fees

Failover routing — secondary gateway activates if Authorize.Net experiences processing issues

Legacy migration path — maintain Authorize.Net for existing customers while routing new volume to modern processors

Amount-threshold routing — high-value transactions through Authorize.Net with negotiated enterprise rates

Fee Optimization

Level 2/3 Data Enrichment Supported

PaymentHub automatically enriches transactions through Authorize.Net with Level 2 and Level 3 line-item data, qualifying B2B card transactions for lower interchange rates. Most merchants save 30-60 basis points per transaction.

PaymentHub submits Level 2 (customer code, tax amount, merchant postal code) and Level 3 (line-item detail including commodity codes, unit costs, and quantities) data with every qualifying B2B card transaction through Authorize.Net. Many organizations using Authorize.Net have never enabled Level 2/3 data submission because the gateway does not automate this capture. PaymentHub fills this gap by pulling invoice detail from your ERP and formatting it for Authorize.Net's Level 2/3 fields. Typical interchange savings range from 0.40-0.90% per qualifying transaction — often the single largest fee reduction available.
